ÉTSplore Mission 2026

For its 2026 edition, the ÉTSplore Mission is heading to the United Arab Emirates, a strategic destination recognized today as one of the world’s most dynamic hubs for innovation and engineering excellence. Located at the crossroads of Asia, Europe, and Africa, the UAE stands out for its ability to turn ambitious visions into concrete achievements, through major infrastructure projects, initiatives in sustainable technologies, artificial intelligence, aerospace, and smart cities. This unique environment provides an exceptional learning ground for future engineers preparing to thrive in a globalized world.

Over the course of two weeks, a cohort of approximately ten ÉTS engineering students will experience a fully immersive journey within cutting-edge industrial and technological ecosystems, discovering internationally renowned companies, innovative research centers, and iconic infrastructures that showcase modern engineering at its finest. Beyond the technical aspect, this destination also offers cultural richness and human diversity, allowing participants to gain a deeper understanding of the social, economic, and environmental challenges associated with a rapidly developing country. By proudly representing Québec on the international stage, members of the ÉTSplore Mission 2026 will have the opportunity to develop a broader vision of their role as engineers, grounded in innovation, collaboration, and global engagement.

The mission will cover three major innovation hubs: Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah. These strategic destinations will give participants access to internationally renowned companies, advanced research centers, and iconic infrastructures, all reflecting the excellence and boldness of modern engineering.

International Engineering Immersion

Hana Khereba

Captain

Operations and Logistics Engineering

Endowed with inspiring leadership, she excels in team management and talent mobilization. Passionate about science, she sees it as a powerful driver of societal progress. Alongside her studies, Hana founded an online jewelry business, through which she developed strong entrepreneurial skills in management, strategy, and human connection. This experience further strengthened her ability to combine creativity with rigor. Hana embodies an emerging pioneer, blending technical expertise, strategic vision, and social commitment to help build a promising future.

Roma Des Ruisseaux

Treasurer

SOFTWARE ENGINEERING

Always driven by a desire to learn and to challenge herself, she continually seeks to optimize her efficiency and explore new technological approaches. Within the ÉTSplore Mission, she plays a key role in managing funding, including budgeting and fundraising, allowing her to further develop her skills in organization, communication, and project management. As a woman in engineering, she is determined to represent her school on the international stage and to promote the role of women in a field that remains largely male-dominated. This experience represents a unique opportunity to acquire practical skills for her future career in software engineering, while actively contributing to innovative and inspiring initiatives.

Antoine Marchand

Passionate about electricity and problem-solving, he completed a technical diploma in electronics before joining ÉTS. A former competitive swimmer for 12 years, he developed key skills such as time management, self-improvement, and resourcefulness, while representing Québec and Canada on the international stage. Actively involved in the ÉTS Rafale club, he participated in the Sumo Robot Challenge in Italy, further strengthening his team spirit and his ability to represent his school abroad. His critical thinking, strong desire to learn, and international experience make him a valuable asset to the ÉTSplore Mission 2025.

Nadir Kaciousalah

AUTOMATED PRODUCTION ENGINEERING

Passionate about technology and innovation, he completed a technical diploma in industrial electronics before gaining three years of experience in automation and robotics. He then chose to pursue his studies at ÉTS to further develop his expertise in Automated Production Engineering. Actively involved in university life, he serves as a tutor for eleven courses and as a laboratory instructor for the course Introduction to Computer Science. In 2024, he had the opportunity to represent ÉTS at the international RoboCup competition in the Netherlands with Team Naova—an experience that significantly strengthened his programming skills and teamwork abilities. As a member of the ÉTSplore Club, he helps build connections between the next generation of engineers and companies locally and internationally, while contributing to ÉTS’s global outreach.
